Web design process
Our unique process has been carefully designed to make sure each project we undertake exceeds the expectations of our clients.
This may well be the first part of the project but it is fair to say that it is unquestionably the most important.
Getting to know you.
The more we know about your business the better. Meeting the people behind the business and learning what makes it tick is a great place to start. Are there existing brand guidelines or do we need to create some and what products or services are on offer.
Identify you goals
Now we know the basics about your business it’s time to look at your ambitions. Where do you want to be in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years etc. Are there new markets or products you would like to be involved with?
Target market and keyword research.
Then it’s time to identify your customers. Who are they, what ado they find visually appealing and what search terms are they using?
Once we have established the above we can start to work out what pages are needed and start to plan the navigation structure of the website.
2: Initial concept
Next up is the initial concept. We look into what content is going to be required, colour schemes and imagery. Another important part during this process in ensuring the design not only works properly on all types of device but looks great while loading incredibly fast.
Our clients are consulted several times during this stage.
3: Design & develop
Once the initial concept is approved it’s time for our web design team to bring our ideas to life.
All design work is carried out and functionality added to the website. Content is then approved and added to the website and for the first time the site can be reviewed in a variety of browsers.
4: Tweaking & testing
When all the coding has been completed our web design team carry out user testing to ensure all of your content is displaying correctly and all functionality is working as intended.
Any tweaks requested by the client are made and the website is ready to sign off and “go live”.
5: Go live
So now our website developers have put the project live it’s important to give it a second round of testing just to make sure everything is 100% as it should be on the live hosting environment. We can now make sure the site is listed on search engines such as Google & Bing.
Should you wish we can then help you with your digital marketing.
6: Promote & generate traffic
Digital marketing is something we can provide if needed. Search engine optimisation work is available when required along with pay per click and social media management.
Some clients also take advantage of our blog writing facility keeping their content relevant and fresh.
6: Analytics & Maintenance
Google analytics is used to track the success of the project.
We can use this data to measure the amount of visitors your website is getting, where they came from, how long they stayed and discover the types of devices they are using. We can also see which keywords are driving your traffic.
